DeKalb County African
American Culture Alliance
To unify, empower, and inspire the African American community in Dekalb County by celebrating its rich heritage, fostering cultural pride, and building a sustainable future for generations to come.
About us
Founded in December 2024 in the State of Illinois, our non-profit organization aims to unite various segments of the African American community to celebrate both our shared and unique cultural traditions. Our goal is to foster understanding, build meaningful connections, and create a sense of belonging, making every gathering feel like a family reunion. We prioritize social connection, leaving discussions of politics and religion aside to focus on building love, mutual respect, and unity among us.

Event calendar
Our mission is to curate and host meaningful social, cultural, charitable & educational events that promote the vitality and long-term sustainability of the African American community.
By bringing together various groups, the Alliance creates opportunities to honor shared cultural histories while celebrating local, national, and international holidays, as well as recognizing significant milestones that highlight the achievements and contributions of African Americans.

about us
Volunteering with DCAACA has been incredibly rewarding. The team’s diverse perspectives lead to innovative solutions for our community. Collaborating with people globally has broadened my worldview, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how our programs bridge cultural divides, especially through cultural and social events. If you value diversity of thought, DCAACA is the place to be.
I had an amazing time at the First Annual Event hosted by the 40 plus club from the lively Stepping lessons, beautiful singing, poetry and vibrant selection of vendors and small Black-owned businesses. It was truly a celebration of culture, creativity, and community. The energy was infectious, and it was so inspiring to see so many talented individuals and local entrepreneurs come together. It was more than just an event; it felt like a meaningful gathering that connected us all. I’m grateful to DeKalb County African American Culture Alliance for organizing such a fantastic experience, and I can't wait for next year!
